Leitz 042873 Multi-purpose profile cutterhead, Z 2

This Leitz multi-purpose profile cutterhead is designed for cutting decorative grooves, internal profiles, and combined external and internal profiles. It is suitable for use with stationary routers with or without CNC control, as well as milling machines with spindles to mount shank tools.

This cutterhead is compatible with various materials, including softwood and hardwood, chipboard and fiber materials (MDF, HDF, etc.), uncoated, plastic-coated, veneered, laminated veneer lumber (plywood, multiplex plywood, etc.).

The cutterhead features profiled changeable knives, with one knife having a center cutting design. The knives also have a shear angle. It is possible to have different profiles in one tool body. Special profiles can be ground into blank knives and backing plates upon request. For smaller decorative groove profiles (d < 15), the use of cutterhead WP 500 1 is recommended.

This multi-purpose profile cutterhead is manufactured by Leitz.

The cutterhead has a cutting width ranging from 14 to 28 millimeters and has 2 teeth. The diameter of the cutterhead is 65 millimeters and it rotates in a right-hand (RH) direction.
