The Leitz 007489 Multi-purpose profile cutterhead, Z 2 is a versatile tool designed for various applications. It is ideal for cutting decorative grooves, internal profiles, and combined external and internal profiles.

This cutterhead can be used with stationary routers with or without CNC control, as well as milling machines with spindles to mount shank tools.

It is suitable for working with different types of materials including softwood and hardwood, chipboard and fibre materials such as MDF and HDF, uncoated or plastic coated, veneered materials, as well as laminated veneer lumber like plywood and multiplex plywood.

The cutterhead is equipped with profiled changeable knives, with one knife featuring a center cutting design. The knives have a shear angle for efficient cutting. Additionally, this tool allows for different profiles to be achieved with one tool body. For special profiles, blank knives and backing plates can be ground upon request.

For smaller decorative groove profiles with a diameter less than 15, it is recommended to use the cutterhead WP 500 1.
